Collections database

The collections of the Mauthausen Memorial unite and preserve sources on the history of the concentration camps and the concentration camp memorials in Austria. Many sources on Mauthausen, Gusen and the subcamps are available here in the original, but just as many - as they were spread across the globe after the end of the war - are also available in the form of copies.

In the collection database you will find written material, photographs, oral history interviews, objects and literature, insofar as this is possible for legal or ethical.

The Simple search function provides you with initial results quickly. A wildcard search (such as *search term*) usually returns significantly more results, but takes longer to process. Searches and results are only displayed in German.
